Help Vanessa get to law school
I’ve wanted to go to law school for years and now I’ll finally be able to start this week.
I never thought getting here would be possible. Even finishing college seemed a little impossible being the first person in my family that finished a four year degree.
However, law school is expensive. Law schools typically don’t let you work your first year because of the rigor. I am still managing bills outside of my tuition of 20k + 20k in estimated housing. I do come from a low income background so my family is unable to help me with the many costs.
I am passionate about advocacy and plan to center social justice in everything I do within the legal field. As a queer immigrant, it is impossible to detach myself from the injustices we face which is why I decided to dedicate myself to helping those in our community. However, we know it’s not built for us so it’s harder for us than most and not as linear. But I’d really appreciate my community’s support in helping me through this rigorous process. Law school is stressful already and I would be more than grateful to those that would help alleviate some of the financial stress that comes with it.
