Hi all, I’m Bernadette and am fundraising for the treatment and on going care for my sister in law Vanessa and family who is currently in a fight for her life, fighting a brain tumour.
Vanessa has a cavernous, sometimes known as cavernous angiomas, cavernous hemangiomas, or cerebral cavernous malformation (CCM). A typical cavernoma looks like a raspberry. For most this type of tumour sit dormant but unfortunately for Vanessa over the past weeks she has had some large bleeds causing numbness to her right side and has difficulty walking.
Vanessa is a young mum in her late 30’s with 4 beautiful children and wife to my brother James, her occupation as a nurse has taken a step from caring for others to having to be cared for.
Vanessa’s has suffered another brain bleed and is currently in hospital awaiting surgery to remove the tumour. The surgery will come with side effects unknown until she wakes as they need to go though healthy brain tissue to get to the tumour.
Without the surgery and another bleed Vanessa’s life is at dangerous risk.
We would like to raise funds for Vanessa’s care. They live in Perth and with all restrictions in our present time we are unable to assist them as we would like. They are going to need help. Wether is $5 or what ever you are able to afford will be greatly appreciative and we thank you for your love and support.
