Help Vanessa and Kids Rebuild After Tragedy

Hello, my name is Sera Owens. I've created this GoFundMe in the hopes of helping out my coworker/friend Trudy Dalton and her family who have just been struck by tragedy in the last year or so. She and her sisters lost their mother, Kylia, about a year ago and it's been hard for them as their mother had adopted 4 young kids who were in a difficult situation and needed a loving, caring home which they've had since becoming a part of this family.

To make things worse, one of her sisters named Andrea just passed away a couple weeks ago at the age of 43 from a back surgery that did nothing but cause problems and a major infection that she wasn't able to come back from. Then after her sister's funeral, she found out her mother's house, where her other sister Vanessa and the kids have been living in, had burned down with all of their possessions.

I'd love to be able to reach the listed goal but anything would help them right now, even if it's just sharing, as Andrea didn't have life insurance and there also wasn't any insurance on the house that burned down. Here is a statement from the family:

"Hello, as many of you know we lost our sister Andrea due to her ongoing health battle that started with a surgical procedure gone wrong. She had insurance but it only covered accidental. We are faced with having to pay her funeral expenses. The Saturday after Andrea’s funeral our mom’s house burned down. Mom passed away a year ago. Our sister Vanessa and the kids were moving in so the kids could start their new school year. The house was a total loss and we did not have insurance.

We are devastated we have lost our beloved sister and what remained of our precious mom. We may not be able to replace cherished memories but we would like to help Vanessa and the kids get back on their feet. This was the only house the kids have ever known and it breaks our hearts. The kids' ages are 16, 9, 7, 6 & 6. Anything helps. Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported us in this difficult time. Please continue to pray as we heal."

It would be amazing to hit the goal set for this family and maybe be able to take a bit of this stress off of their shoulders so if you are able to donate please do and even if you can't, sharing still helps reach a larger group of people who may be able to help. Any and all donations made will be going straight to Trudy so she can help pay for Andrea’s funeral costs as well as help get a new mobile home for Vanessa and the children as well as any immediate personal items for the children.
