Hi, my name is Pete, and I’m writing this on behalf of my brother Johnny and his incredible wife, Vanessa.

Vanessa is only in her mid-40s and has always been active and healthy. She was recently diagnosed with a large brain tumor. The diagnosis was sudden and completely unexpected, turning our family’s world upside down in a matter of days. She has already undergone a major surgical resection and is doing well at this time, but this is just the beginning of a long and difficult journey. Vanessa will be facing chemotherapy and radiation as part of her ongoing treatment.

Vanessa is a devoted wife, a loving mother to two wonderful boys ages 9 and 14, a sister, daughter, auntie, and a cherished friend to so many. She has always been the center of her family and now they are doing everything they can to surround her with care, love, and stability.

Johnny works full-time as an engineer and is doing everything he can to hold things together for his family. As medical bills continue to grow, they are also facing added expenses for childcare, travel, and hotel stays to see specialists and pursue the best possible treatment options. There will also be times when John needs to step away from work to care for Vanessa and their boys during this unthinkable time.

This GoFundMe has been created to help ease the financial burden so Johnny can focus on supporting Vanessa, maintaining stability for their children, and being present during her treatment. Any contribution—no matter the size—will help cover medical costs, daily living expenses, and the additional needs this family is facing.
