Help Vaness Heydorn Get Essential EDS Treatment and surgery

I am fundraising for my wife, Vaness Heydorn. She is 41 years old and has been a teacher for 6 years. She has been diagnosed with the BRCA 1 genetic mutation. This mutation causes both ovarian and breast cancers. Due to this, she has had a full hysterectomy with ovaries removed. She is now going to have to have a double mastectomy. This will require her to miss 6-8 weeks of recovery where she will not be able to work and will not be paid.

Vaness's husband is unable to work and is in the process of trying to get disability. She also has a wonderful 12-year-old son. On top of the BRCA 1 diagnosis, her primary care doctor is convinced that she has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. In order to get an official diagnosis and treatment, she needs to go to a specialist at the Mayo Clinic, which does not accept insurance. EDS also causes complications to surgeries and extends the healing time needed after surgery. Getting proper treatments for EDS would vastly improve Vaness's quality of life.
