Hello friends, family, students, and FB friends I've never met before,

I never thought it would come to this—asking for help—needing your generosity and support to help my child and me get back on track. But here I am.

As some of you know, we have recently lost our car and had to get a new one so I can continue to eke out a living for the two of us. We also just moved to be closer to Reinn's college campus (USF) so she can walk there on her own (she doesn't drive).

What you don't know is that Reinn's father stopped paying child support the moment Reinn turned 18 rather than fulfilling his legal obligation to continue paying until she graduated from high school. I did try to re-submit an order, and the state refused to help me, leaving me short $4500. Her father left the state four years ago, and we have no idea where he is. He has turned down requests to help with basic needs and healthcare for her and has made no effort to help with her college tuition or housing.

I have borrowed money from our dear friend in order to relocate, and we have been blessed by so many of our friends who physically helped us with our move (we couldn't afford movers). I am doing everything I can to get back on track. I am asking for your assistance to make it smoother.
