Help Vance Gilbert Heal and Recover

Hi, I'm Amy Malkoff, longtime friend and colleague of singer/songwriter and teacher Vance Gilbert . This (in my opinion, and I know I'm not alone) masterful performer - and amazing person - has touched many lives with his songs, humor, and kind instruction. Our Vance was recently diagnosed with cancer on one of his tonsils. All indications are that this cancer will be curable, and as of now, no surgery is anticipated, but he will have to go through rounds of chemo and radiation to eliminate the rogue cells. If you've ever been through these treatments (or know someone who has), you know it's no walk in the park. He has a great medical team, and docs predict that he'll feel pretty terrible and his voice will be rough for a while as the treatments do their thing, and he'll need to lay low.

This means he'll need to cancel likely several months of shows, which represents not only disappointed audiences and venues, but disappointed mortgage and other billing departments. His otherwise busy schedule will necessarily come to a halt while this is taken care of. And as an independent artist, there is no sick pay or vacation days that can be leveraged.

Here's where you come in. You can help offset these losses by donating what you can (and only what is comfortable). Any amount. With money covering his financial losses during this stretch, Vance can concentrate on healing.
