my name is van I’m disabled and unable to work, and right now I’m in an emergency situation. I don’t have stable housing, and I’m trying to raise enough for a couple nights in a motel so I can stay safe, dry, and out of the extreme heat. I also need some groceries so I can eat and take care of myself. I truly hate asking for help, but I have no other options right now. Even the smallest amount could help me stay off the streets and give me a little breathing room to figure out my next steps. If you’re able to help — whether financially, with motel vouchers, or even by sharing this post — I would be so deeply grateful.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any kindness or support you can give.
My Monthly Situation
• I receive $700 a month from disability.
• A motel room costs about $50–$60 a night in my area.
• That money only covers about 10–12 nights each month.
• The rest of the time (2–3 weeks) I’m outside, exposed to the weather.
How You Can Help
• $10–$20 → Groceries or snacks so I can save my cash for shelter.
• $50–$60 → Pays for one safe night indoors.
• $100+ → Covers multiple nights and gives me a break from the heat/rain.
• gift cards, or groceries are also a huge help.
