Our friend Valynn Jensen could use your support while she is recovering from a major car accident and is under water with monthly bills. We’re aiming to raise $5,000 to help cover essential expenses (rent, utilities, food) while she focuses on recovery and disability appeals.
If you’re able to donate, we deeply appreciate it. If you’re unable to give, you can still help by sharing this link with your friends, family, or social network. Together we can help Valynn get back on her feet!
Background:
On April 18, 2025, Valynn was in a serious car accident. She spent 3 days in the hospital, was wheelchair-bound for 2 months, then had to use a walker/knee scooter for 2 more months. She’s still walking with a cane and attends physical therapy three times a week, with full recovery estimated up to two years.
She has been looking for remote, part time work, and applied to over 100 jobs and had 3 interviews, yet hasn't been able to find consistent work. On top of that, her SNAP benefits were lost, and only a small portion was restored after a federal ruling.
Throughout all of this, Valynn has been supporting her terminal grandmother by managing her appointments until the accident made it impossible.
Current Situation & Need:
Right now, Valynn is facing mounting bills while unable to work. Her income is limited, the accident recovery is ongoing, and the disability hearing is many months away. We want to offer relief so she can focus on healing, rather than extra stress from unpaid bills.
In the upcoming months we're hoping to raise $5,000. This goal will go towards:
• $3,000 for mortgage payments
• $1,500 for personal bills and household utilities
• $500 as a buffer toward groceries/essentials while income is limited
Every donation, no matter how small, helps keep her head above water and gives her the space to focus on what matters: precious time with her grandma, recovery and re-entry to work when able.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
