Blaize is a caring and community-minded member of the Reno area who very unfortunately had all of his photography equipment stolen from him at an event he was working on New Year's Eve. In addition to being a naturalized citizen who immigrated here from Ghana to pursue his education and career, a member of the Army National Guard, fully employed, and the founder/former director of Reno Burrito Project - a local non-profit that he started in 2020 while obtaining his master's degree at UNR, which continues its mission of feeding hundreds of unhoused individuals in our area on the street each week - Blaize independently owns his own photography business. All of his equipment - to include the camera itself, specialized lens, trigger, and other items, were lost due to the theft. He estimates replacement to be in the neighborhood of $5,200. Blaize additionally had upcoming gigs that he will have to give up if he cannot timely replace the items, totaling in the neighborhood of $2,000. As a person who has given and continues to give so much to others, he now finds himself in a rough spot with trying to recover from this rather unfortunate act of another. His friends have started this fundraiser in the hopes that he might receive back some of the love and dedication he has been so willing to give to others.
