Help Valian and Josh Rebuild After Tragic Accident
Donation protected
On the night of August 26th at around 9pm, Valian, Josh, and their 3-year-old Emery were driving home from celebrating Josh’s birthday with his family when a speeding SUV ran a stop sign and sent their car spinning several times until it crashed into a ditch. When first responders arrived on the scene, Valian and Emery were rescued from the totaled vehicle with the jaws of life. Valian, being 8 months pregnant with their daughter Vivian and in serious condition, was immediately sent to the Texas Medical Center in downtown. Emery was thankfully saved from any major injuries by his car seat and was loaded onto the ambulance with his father, who wasn’t so fortunate. After a brief time at a different hospital, Josh was life-flighted downtown to the same hospital as Valian.
Emery has not been able to return home since the accident and has been cared for by multiple family members who have been able to step up to support him in this difficult time.
Valian and Josh were finally discharged from the hospital on August 28th and will be cared for by family as they will both require round-the-clock care for their injuries, as well as assistance with daily activities as they both struggle to walk.
As you can imagine, this traumatic event has completely turned their lives upside down. We are seeking funds to help provide for not only medical costs associated with their injuries and long-term care, but also with the care of Emery and his soon-to-be-born sister Vivian. In addition, Josh, the sole source of income for his family, will likely not be able to return to work for several weeks.
