Help Valerie Recover After Fire Devastation

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers.

On Tuesday night January 7, 2025 devastation and apocalyptic fire tore through our beloved Pacific Palisades and Malibu neighborhood and community.

My dear friend Valerie, who I'm setting this GoFundMe page up for was evacuated just as the police were coming up, knocking door-to-door at the mobile home park that she had lived in for eight years.

She had packed one suitcase with photos, a little box of documents, a couple of pairs of shoes and some warm clothing.

On Tuesday night she was an evacuee, hopeful, along with the rest of her neighbours that they would all be returning to their homes in a couple of hours or at the worst the next day.

Valerie's beloved home full of memories and love, as well as all of her neighbors and community was completely destroyed in the fire that raged through and eviscerated everyone's homes. Everything apart from her stone statue of Diana has been razed to the ground.

It's the start of a long journey to recover her life and every contribution no matter how small will hold her up and aid in helping her get back on her feet. Thank you for your support and kindness.

About the Fundraiser: I have known Valerie for over 20 years from back in the UK when she worked abroad to returning to her Native US, to her helping me in my own journey to start a life in the US 12 years ago. She has always been there for others. All funds will go directly to Valerie to rebuild her life.
