My name is Scott Sink and I reside in Lexington North Carolina andI am Valerie Kulaif’s father and we are raising funds to help her restore the loss of her personal property and allow her and her family to continue forward. On Monday August 5th and August 6th 20 inches of rain was poured down by Hurricane Debby. This Massive rain brought a storm surge of nearly 10 feet. This storm devistated the Laurel Meadow subdivision in the Sarasota area and our neighborhood was completely flooded. We took measures to protect our property but after many hours of hard labor we realized nothing could stop the water. We were rescued by friends in canoes and kayaks since authorities could not reach us. When leaving the property we realized we had lost all our personal properties and autos. We secured this home in a neighborhood that was not in a flood zone. We purchased renters insurance for our personal property and now we find out that it doesn’t cover flood damage. We are faced with loosing absolutely everything. When we went back today August 7th to access if anything was able to be salvaged we saw that everything was covered with sewage water and all is lost.

The funds will be used to restore her personal property after the devastating flood.
