I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to reach out on behalf of someone incredibly important to me, Valerie Hollenbeck. Recently, Val was diagnosed with colon cancer, a diagnosis that has turned her world upside down. Despite facing numerous challenges, including a tumor removal surgery and complications due to a blood clot, she has remained resilient and determined to fight this disease.

Val is not just a colleague, but also a cherished friend and a integral part of our work family at Notre Dame. Her dedication and hard work have left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to work alongside her. She is known for her unwavering dedication, her easy going nature, and willingness to go above and beyond.

As a person, Val is loyal, supportive and always thinking about others. Whether it's offering a helping hand or sharing a warm smile, she never fails to brighten the lives of those around her. As a mother to her two daughters and son, she is the epitome of strength and love. Additionally, she is a devoted partner to Mike and a compassionate caregiver to her father.

However, the financial burden of medical expenses, treatments, and supporting her family during this difficult time has been overwhelming. That's why we're turning to you for support. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in Val's journey towards recovery.
