As you know, Valerie has been diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare form of blood cancer likely caused by the chemo and radiation treatments she received in 2016/2017 for a different type of cancer. The first step of treatment is chemotherapy, which she is doing in Boise, followed by a bone marrow transplant at the Fred Hutchinson Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at the Seattle Cancer Care Center.

During this process, she and Dennis will be incurring substantial additional medical, travel and living, and other costs while simultaneously experiencing decreased income due to disruptions to being able to work. Her friends thought it would be nice to put together a Go Fund Me site for folks who would like to help Valerie and Dennis out financially, just one more way to show them our love during this difficult time.
