Help Valerie Cover Final Expenses,
Urgent Needs, and Start a New Chapter after Tremendous, Unexpected Loss
Hello, my name is Valerie, and I’m reaching out during the most difficult time of my life.
Recently, I lost my beloved husband, Brian. His passing was sudden, heartbreaking, and has left an unimaginable hole in my heart and in our home. Brian and I were married for 34 years, and he was not only my partner in life but also my greatest support and best friend.
Brian was a decorated Navy Veteran who served honorably as a pilot rescue swimmer aboard the USS Thomaston (LSD-28) from 1979 to 1983. He dedicated himself to serving others—both during his military career and throughout his life.
Even more than his service, Brian will be remembered as a deeply devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. He gave everything for his family, offering unwavering love, strength, and kindness. His absence is felt in every corner of our lives.
As I begin to navigate this new and painful reality without him, I’m facing immediate and overwhelming financial challenges that I never imagined having to face alone.
I’m humbly asking for help to cover several urgent and essential needs:
Final Expenses & Cremation Costs
I want to honor Brian’s memory with the dignity and respect he deserves. Your support will help cover the costs of his cremation and other final arrangements during this deeply painful time.
Urgent Car Repairs
My car is currently in disrepair, and reliable transportation is critical—not only for basic day-to-day needs, but for accessing medical care, running essential errands, and pursuing the support systems I now need to rebuild.
Accessibility Improvements at Home
Living with a disability, I relied on Brian in countless ways every day. Now, I need to make important adjustments to my home—such as safety modifications and accessibility upgrades—so I can manage safely and independently.
⏳ Basic Living Expenses While Applying for Assistance
I am in the process of applying for Social Security as a disabled widow, but that process takes time. In the meantime, I need help covering basic living expenses like rent, utilities, and food while I wait for that support to begin.
No amount is too small—every donation will make a real and immediate difference. If you’re not able to give, even sharing this campaign would mean so much to me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Thank you for caring. And thank you for standing by me in this time of tremendous need and grief.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Valerie
