En febrero de 2024, a Valeria, mi hija de 20 años, le diagnosticaron cáncer debido a un pequeño bulto en su cintura. Tras realizarse varios estudios en México, los médicos decidieron que necesitaba radioterapia. Como no contamos con seguro médico en México, su padrastro, quien trabaja en Houston, Texas, la incluyó en su seguro médico. Viajaron a Houston, donde confirmaron el diagnóstico y Valeria comenzó 28 sesiones de radioterapia.

Al terminar el tratamiento, se sometió a nuevos estudios y los resultados fueron positivos. Sin embargo, antes del chequeo de seguimiento, apareció un nuevo bulto en su ingle. Regresó a Houston, donde su oncóloga descubrió que el cáncer había regresado. Ahora está recibiendo quimioterapia, que consiste en tres ciclos de cinco sesiones.

Los gastos son elevados, pues, además de los tratamientos, hay que cubrir hospitalización y otros costos. Su mamá y hermanos la acompañan, pero los gastos siguen creciendo.

Por eso, pido su ayuda para que mi hija, una joven llena de vida, pueda continuar con su tratamiento y liberarse del cáncer. ¡Cualquier aporte es invaluable y apreciado!

In February 2024, my 20-year-old daughter, Valeria, was diagnosed with cancer due to a small lump in her waist. After several tests in Mexico, doctors decided she needed radiation therapy. Since we don't have medical insurance in Mexico, her stepfather, who works in Houston, Texas, included her in his health insurance. They traveled to Houston, where the diagnosis was confirmed, and Valeria started 28 sessions of radiation therapy.

After finishing the treatment, she underwent follow-up tests, and the results were positive. However, before the follow-up check-up, a new lump appeared in her groin. She returned to Houston, where her oncologist discovered that the cancer had returned. She is now receiving chemotherapy, consisting of three cycles of five sessions each.

The expenses are high, as, in addition to the treatments, we must cover hospitalization and other costs. Her mother and siblings are with her to offer support, but the expenses keep growing.
