Hello, my name is Valeri and I am not usually the one to ask for help, but I am hoping with all my heart for help. I am a disabled Veteran and have hit hard times. I have been out of work since November 2020 after having two surgeries on my foot. The foot has not recovered well and I am still having complications. My employer would not work with me on return to work with limited or light duty and terminated my position. I never imagined that I would be considered disabled and loose my job. Due to complications of the foot, I am also going through a medical evaluation board with the military to be discharged, not how I wanted my military career as a combat medic to end.

It has been a very difficult struggle with unemployment who has only given me the run around and the Veterans Administration with benefits. Bills are behind, and on top of all of that, the house that I live in with my family is a rental and I received notice that we have to be out by 30 June 21 due to the owner selling the house. Help is needed quickly.

The money raised would be used to catch up on bills, medical bills, and most importantly find a home. I am hoping and praying that I can get some help from compassionate people out there so that I can get back on top of life again. I do not want to become another American statistic of a homeless Veteran and family.
