Hi im Valentine, an alternative drag performer and SWer in Brooklyn, and I almost died while giving shows.

On May 24th I was rushed into emergency surgery after finding out not only was I pregnant but it was an ectopic pregnancy that had ruptured in my right fallopian tube, causing extreme internal bleeding leading to surgeons removing a liter of blood from my ovaries, womb, and my right fallopian tube.

While I’m very fortunate to be alive and the surgery was a success, I am out of work for some time. I have been a full time SWer for 6 years and this injury makes it impossible for me to work until I am fully recovered which will be at least 1 - 2 Months. On top of this, my girlfriend and I were a week away from our anniversary trip to Colorado and had to cancel all our plans and reservations, 6 months of saving up for the trip are pretty much gone.

Because of this I am reaching out to the community to ask for help during recovery. I always feel so guilty asking for help and wouldn’t do this unless I absolutely needed to. Anything helps and appreciate any and all types of support and love. Love you all
