Help Valentina and Alejandra (car accident)

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Sandry Vasquez, and I am leading this effort along with my fiance, Joshua Doverspike, to raise money for my friends Valentina and Alejandra, who were recently involved in a severe car accident (07-23-22).

Below I describe their history, the accident, and what the money raised will go towards.

HISTORY
Valentina Alfonso Cortes is is a 23 year old girl that was born in Bogotá Colombia. She arrived in the United States two months ago when she decided to pack her bags and start the adventure of being an Au pair. One of the reasons why she decided to come to this country was the huge love she has for children, and another of them was the possibility of improving her level of English and saving some money so that, upon completing the program, she could complete a master's degree in Colomobia and thus improve her job opportunities.

Alejandra Lozada is a 24 year old girl that was born in Bogota Colombia. She also decided to pack her bags and start an exciting adventure as an Au Pair in the Unitied States. One of the reasons she came to the United States was to improve her english skills as well as experience living in the United States.

THE ACCIDENT
They were very happy to achieve coming to the United States and excited to start another stage in their lives. They began to meet very nice people, to learn, to explore and appreciate all the good things that were happening to them, even when they missed their families and friends. One night (07-23-22), they made plans to see each other, they met, they were together, and they enjoyed their outing. Heading home and they were hit head-on by another car that crossed the median on a highway. They were taken to a hospital and now they are in the ICU, with many injuries and pain, struggling to recover and move forward. Valentina received a bruise on her jaw and has a hematoma on her spine, which so far has limited the mobility of her limbs. Alejandra has received three surgeries and has multiple fractures and internal damages.

MONEY RAISED
Fortunately, many people have supported them, their host family, the Au Pair in America agency and the girls who know them. However, they are here without their families, for this reason, we appeal to your generosity and ask for your financial help to make it possible for their parents or close loved ones to come and stay here with them for the time it takes for their recovery. At this time, we do not know how much their medical insurances will cover, but any unused funds will go towards their medical bills. The money raised will be split between the girls evenly.

This is a tragedy that should not happen to anyone, but it is something that we cannot avoid. The only thing we can do is to try to make things easier for those who are experiencing it.

Please support these girls who are in this unfortunate situation, and we hope you will see your generosity rewarded in the future.
