Help Valente's kids to see him one last time

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Jasmine and I want to tell you about my uncle, Valente. He was a quiet man but a happy one. He lived a simple life but he was nothing short of extraordinary. He was the man much like my father who would gladly mow your lawn, say hi to you as you crossed the street, and would tackle any task with a smile on his face no matter how mediocre the task may seem. What most people might not know is that he came to the US about 8 years ago with one sole purpose: to put his kids through school. You see, my uncle left behind a wife and 4 beautiful children in Mexico to come in work in America so he could send them money so that they may get a better education. What he could make here compared to what he could make in Mexico... there was no question in his mind of what he had to do. He made the sacrifice to watch his children grow up, tuck them into bed every night, to leave the only home he has ever known to come to America, not to better his life but to better the lives of his children and wife. When he entered into my life about 8 years ago I remember hearing that and not understanding why he would leave his family just for him to come work but I now understand is love for his family was everything to him. He worked two or three jobs at a time in hopes that one day he would be reunited with his family.

But that day would never come.

On July 2, 2021 around 8:00 am he was killed in a car crash. On his way to work fulfilling the promise he made to his family, he was in the passenger side working alongside with his boss, Amado. A female driver failed to stop at a stop sign crashed into their vehicle that caused their truck to shift to the other side of the road and another vehicle hit the passenger side first instantly killing my uncle, Valente, first then killing his friend and boss, Amado.

We are all devastated at the loss of my uncle. He was not doing anything wrong, he was simply going to work with the task in mind that he was one day closer to being reunited with his family.

After the devastation of the news of his unexpected passing his oldest son is trying to get a visa to come and get the body of his father and bury him in Chihuahua, Mexico where he is from. We created this fundraiser to help his wife and kids give their dad a proper goodbye and to bury his body where he dreamed of going back to.

Transportation costs, funeral costs, etc. it can add up to a lot. Help us fundraiser for his family, any amount helps, to give him a proper burial in his home country.

Thank you.

Tio, you will be missed. I wish I could hug you one last time.
