Help Valdez Family See Light Through All The Dark

First off my name is Angelica and I am trying to help my Uncle, Aunt, and Cousin try to raise money to help with medical expenses, bills, and illness. As you can see they are the Valdez family which my cousin and I are related through our mothers which are Romero. They are a family of three in their home. Since 2014 it has been nothing but very horrific sad tragedy after tragedy. I will begin to tell you about the tragedies and time lines as you read along.

In 2014 their daughter which is my cousin was brutally raped by three individuals and her body was dumped off on the side of the road left to die on her prom night. She was set up by her so called best friend and two male individuals. She was drugged, raped by them, and raped by a sharp object of some sort which caused her to almost bleed to death. When she arrived at the hospital she was already going into shock from all of the blood loss which she needed several emergency blood transfusions. She had an internal wound from her rectum which the doctor said his finger went in through her rectum and all of her insides were ripped his finger almost came out of her vagina. She was on life support for over a week. Our family didn’t know if she was going to live or die. Her parents were losing it because she is their only child and the horrific things that were done to her. We didn’t know if we would be attending a funeral or a graduation. Thank God it was a graduation but she had to learn how to walk again and be well taken care of by her parents as her injuries required extensive care. Going forward in 2015 my uncle was diagnosed with tongue cancer and had to undergo a 14 hour surgery. Which part of his skin on his arm had to be cut and placed on his tongue. The surgery was an intense surgery as well as the recovery. He was out of work and in recovery for quite some time. At this point the only one that could be strong in their home for them is my aunt.

In October of 2016 my aunt went into the hospital not feeling well and the doctors said said she might have had a slight TIA but sent her home. By that next morning she was transported by ambulance to the hospital to find out she had a full blown stroke. The doctors couldn’t do anything to try and reverse it being they didn’t know the time frame it happened. If she would of never been sent home and stood in their care she would of been able to get the care she needed and not ended up how bad she was. She had to stay in the hospital several weeks for therapy to learn how to walk, talk, and eat again. She still is not the same til this day. 

In 2020 my uncle noticed a ball on the side of his neck. He went to the doctor and he was 
told that the cancer returned. He had to go 
through chemotherapy for several months 
which made him extremely ill. It has been a
battle for him. He was told a few months ago
that he was cancer free! It felt like a big relief 
for our family. The past few weeks he hadn’t 
been feeling well and yesterday he landed in 
the emergency room. They found a mass in 
his lung which they believe is cancer. His body is weak and extremely sensitive to the touch
for this reason. He is going to be out of work
for quite some time now and their family has 
a long road ahead of them. His mom passed 
away in 2018 from cancer. He is the only one 
out of his siblings which all together is 4
brothers that has cancer.

They have gone through horrific tragedy after tragedy but still trying to remain strong and 
are still very humble regardless of their 
situations. They have another long road ahead
of them but through the Grace of God he can
make the impossible possible! We are asking
for any kind of help for them through these
difficult times. Most of all we are asking for
prayers! For it says in the Lords word that
when more than one gathers in prayers that
the stronger the prayer is. We are praying
that the cancer be wiped out by the
blood of the Lamb and claim in Jesus name
that the cancer be gone and he be cancer free.
