Hi! I'm Val, a disabled queer woman living in the deep south trying to leave.

Things aren't going well south of the Mason-Dixon. With zero exaggeration, there are no jobs in the small town I'm living in let alone jobs my disabilities would allow me to manage, and the only doctor willing to take on new patients for gender affirming care in Tennessee under the new budget bill is well outside my price range and ability to travel. With no ability to fund leaving myself, we end up here.

With a place to go arranged, that leaves the cost of actually getting myself and my belongings there as well as initial doctors appointments to move my medical care with me, with the hope that work will be easier to find on the far side of the move.
