Help V Fight Housing Insecurity due to Severe Disabilities

Donation protected
Hello, my name is V, and I am a 23 y/o disability and community justice advocate who has been dedicated to crowdfunding and mutual aid efforts for years despite struggling with severe housing insecurity & untreated disabilities. I am trying to raise funds for 2-3 mos. of survival after surviving week to week off of crowdfunding (CF) for almost 3 years while facing severe debilitation/extreme pain.

ROUGH BREAKDOWN OF GOAL:
Monthly rent/utilities x 3 mos. = 3300
Food/basic needs x 3 mos. ~ 900 - 1,100
Prescriptions/OTC meds/medical needs x 3 mos ~ 600

MY STORY:
I am a severely disabled, trans, agender, intersex, MAD survivor of extreme lifelong abuse, including cSA, cocSA, SA, & physical/emotional abuse at the hands of my ex-parents that intentionally threatened/nearly took my life on several occasions, & fixated heavily on purposely breaking down my physical health to an extreme degree with intense training, heavy labor, & forms of tó®ture.

My abysmal health & multitude of disabilities has kept me from being able to work or access housing security for years, & I am barely hanging on by a thread right now. Please help me access safety for the first time EVER by raising enough for a few months of rent & basic needs so I can stay housed & alive...

I have been chronically ill my entire life, but my health issues were totally neglected from an early age. By 2018 I had already developed mild Myalgic Encophalomyelitis (ME) so by early 2023, at 21 y/o & after numerous forced Covid infections, my disease burden reached the level where I should have been fully bedbound with caretaking help.

Unfortunately, I was instead forced to work a min wage heavy labor food service job for most of the year; being subjected to endless Covid infections, while also living in a moldy apt & crowdfund (CF) because I still didn't make enough to make ends meet.

Being forced to work full time hours with Long Covid & Moderate-Severe Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), which rapidly became fully Severe, was beyond torturous & inhumane. I was frequently subject to further abuse while working due to being trans, wearing a mask, & having visible mental & physical disabilities. This period of my life caused irreversible physical & emotional damage. I was forced to quit working at the end of 2023 when I was so malnourished, ill, & in pain that I was frequently passing out, losing vision, falling, & unable to stay awake at work, & was unable to stand without holding myself up by the counters.

I am extremely, extremely debilitated, & have very high pain levels as a constant baseline. I have Severe ME, small fiber neuropathy, complex Long Covid & viral reactivation (20 + infections from forced exposure), migraine disorder, classical hypermobile Ehlers-Danos syndrome, levoscoliosis with degenerative disk disease that has caused extensive nerve damage, CCI, POTS, & complex Endometriosis/recurrent kidney stones due to a congenital intersex condition causing dysfunction/deformity of my entire reproductive & urinary system.

Since I quit working, I have ran myself into the ground & still barely been able to scrape by off of CF. However, I have now lost almost all recurring donations & am totally underwater. The predictability/stability that these gave me was the only way to not be surviving on a week to week basis & raising funds 25/8. I ask that those who donate sign up for a monthly payment if at all possible. Even if the amount has to be very low, the consistency is what matters & makes recurring payments so much more helpful than once off payments. I know it seems like a lot to ask but you can set up a recurring donation by clicking the "pay monthly" button on GFM, using the "schedule" option on Venmo , or going to my Ko-Fi, and easily cancel anytime. Please shoot me a dm on ig @mycelium.bones after you have finished setting up your monthly payment.

I live in a rural, poor, extremely transphobic and devoutly religious city, with very limited and oversaturated healthcare options ("healthcare desert"). I have lived here for almost three years now, and am still unable to access the most basic tests and healthcare due to targeted harassment from healthcare/social workers, extremely low capacity and total inability to even meet daily basic needs, and lots of other red tape.

Ultimately, I need to flee to an area that has more healthcare options & a greater chance of finding safe, mold-free housing. But right now, there is no way I can even think about that while I can't even raise enough for rent. If I can reach the goal of 6,000 asap, with min 100 of that being monthly/recurring donations, it might be a little more manageable as I won't be living week to week in constant danger of losing housing at any time, like I have been for years.

This ask may seem like a lot, especially if you are unfamiliar with my situation/condition. However, after months of consideration, I strongly believe that raising a larger amount at one time & building at least a little more recurring dough nations, is the only way I can possibly continue on in this state.

I am suffering to an extent that is inhumane daily, & the intensive labor required to CF while fighting algorithm bans has torn down my health progressively. While I know that I will still have to sacrifice basic needs & fundraise more in order to be able to eventually set aside the funds for moving, if I can get a little ahead on covering my rent it will do wonders for my mental/physical health & might make it a little more possible for me to find a way to escape this healthcare & safe housing desert eventually, & access the complex care & mold free housing that I so desperately need to be able to continue surviving.

I'm not asking for a miracle here, and I'm not asking for luxury or even a good quality of life. I'm just asking for everyone to do their part in passing this along and contributing $, based on the privilege chart guidelines for redistribution (which are included below) so that I am allowed a shot at the safety & basic care I deserve.

When choosing how much to send, please consider that there are things you may take for granted that are totally out of reach privileges that others have never/will never know.

If you have family to fall back on, that you have not been *forced* to cut contact with *regardless* of the consequences, if you have housing that does not poison/traumatize you, if you have not come face to face with homelessness so often & for so long that it feels "normal", if you are not constantly worrying where your next meal will come from, if you are able to generate income or study to be able to, if you don't know what it's like to have to skip out on basic needs to afford rent/mobility aids, if you have access to healthcare options, if you have disposable income to spend on "treats" for yourself etc etc etc. PLEASE truly consider the power you hold to literally *save* someone else's life, at the mere cost of a silly trinket or a meal out....instead of assuming that someone else who is better off will....because more than likely they won't.

Lastly, NO UNSOLICITED ADVICE of ANY kind will be tolerated here or on my other socials. I am not looking for any form of support other than financial, & there is a 99.99% chance that your advice is helpful or at all relevant to my situation. Please DO NOT send me suggestions for free/social housing orgs with 5 year waiting lists, grants that I am not qualified for, or lectures on how I should sue my landlord for mold.
