My name is Diana, and I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart to share the story of my beloved sister, Yaya. She has been diagnosed with IgA nephropathy, a devastating kidney disease that has now reached stage five. This means her kidneys are failing, and she is fighting for her life every single day. Since her diagnosis in 2020, our lives have been turned upside down. She used to be full of energy and life, always on the go and spreading joy wherever she went. But now, this cruel disease has stripped her of her vitality. Even the simplest tasks have become monumental challenges. Walking up the stairs, moving around the house – things we all take for granted – have become nearly impossible for her.

Recently, Yaya underwent a surgery to prepare for the grueling process of dialysis and hopefully, a life-saving kidney transplant. The emotional and physical toll this has taken on her is beyond words, but the financial burden is also overwhelming. Along with the sky-high medical bills, Yaya has to take a multitude of medications every day just to manage her symptoms and keep her condition from deteriorating further. These medicines are incredibly expensive, and paying for them has been a constant struggle.

I am reaching out to you, from the depths of my heart, to ask for your help. We desperately need support to cover these medical expenses and give Yaya a fighting chance to regain some of the life this disease has stolen from her. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make an enormous difference and bring us one step closer to saving my sister.
