Hi, my name is Shawni and I’m asking for help to save my dog Uzi. A few days ago, my dog was attacked and suffered a serious jaw injury. I rushed him to the vet, and they told me his injury is very severe and that he needs to see a specialist for surgery. Unfortunately there are no specialists in Rochester, so I have to travel out of town to get him the care that he needs. Right now, he’s in a lot of pain, and while he’s trying to eat, I know he’s struggling. Hearing that the surgery costs thousand of dollars has overwhelmed me. I’m doing everything I can. I work, and I’m about to start school soon, but I don’t have the kind of money this emergency requires. I never thought I would be in a position where I might lose my dog simply because I can’t afford treatment. Uzi is more than a pet, my sweet boy is family. He’s been there for me and my daughter bringing us comfort, love and happiness. Seeing him like this is just heartbreaking. I’m asking for any help, no matter how small.
