I am reaching out to you all today to put the focus on Women's Youth Handball. As the head coach for USA Team Handball Youth Women's National Team, I have been privileged to work with great young athletes and amazing staff. Our team has now landed in Mexico City, where we will be competing in the U17 IHF trophy. This tournament serves as a qualifier for the next youth world championships!
This competition is partially supported, financially, by IHF. We are also very fortunate to have received support from the US Handball Foundation. However, despite their generous contribution, we still have several costs to bear in order to make the trip a "no cost to the players and staff" experience.
To give you an idea of the additional expenses we still have to cover, we had players stranded due to flight scheduling delays and cancellations out of the US, part of our practice gear was sadly stolen from team luggage, we are hoping to get a professional sports photographer to come for the tournament to make it even more of an unforgettable experience, there will be laundry and snack costs, and we already invested in an AI-powered video tracking device to help with the analyses.
We are truly trying to get as close to professional sport as we can, but financial support remains limited and largely depends on the generosity of our networks, friends, and handball lovers.
We currently need to raise $2,600 to break even. Any contribution you are comfortable making would help the team, and we would be forever grateful!
Due to a clerical issue, we are unable to tie this fundraiser to USA Team Handball NGB. However, I'd like to mention that USATH is a non-profit organization, so all donations will be eligible for a tax deduction letter.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!
