Help Team USA for inaugural O40 Cricket World Cup

The USA Masters cricket team is about to embark on an exciting journey to participate in the inaugural Over 40's cricket World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa in February 2024. After 2 years of local, regional, zonal and national tournaments, a highly talented team has been picked for this global event. The team will compete against 11 other countries for the coveted championship and the title of World Champions. The USA team also played an international tournament in Karachi against 7 other Nations and did commendably well reaching the semi finals while also defeating strong teams like Australia and West Indies in that event.

Masters cricket in the USA is a fledgling non-profit organization and although it is growing rapidly, it doesn't have the funding to bear the expenses of the players on the tour. As you can imagine, for players in their 40's, apart from taking extensive time off (sometimes unpaid) from work and families (typically have kids in elementary or middle school) paying for airfare, accommodations and other aspects of a long cricket tour can be extremely tough to do.

We are hoping through your contribution, we could alleviate the cost of airfare from the US to South Africa for our players. Any contribution will go a long way in helping the team reduce the financial burden and focus on winning cricket matches for the country.

By promoting the higher age division cricket, we have already seen amazing results. There were 250 cricketers from across the country who played the National tournament in October 2023. It provides motivation and inspiration to continue playing sport at a competitive level as you get older and has already seen great health results for numerous people. Successful campaigns like the World Cup can inspire hundreds of people to stay fit and continue playing sport.
