Help us with the vandalism!!!

Tax deductible
I am writing to tell you about our unforunate luck over the past 6 weeks. It has really created a hardship for our local non-profit. United Cerebral Palsy of Nevada is working hard to provide adults with developmental disabilties the opportunity to succeed in the world of work. At our UCP Thrift Store, we employ 50 adults with disabilities who are learning vocational and life skills.

The UCP Thrift Store located at 2350 Oddie Blvd in Sparks is supposed to be this safe place for the individuals that we support. However, we have been greatly impacted by vandalism over the past 6 weeks. We have had a broken glass front door, a bullet hole through one of our window panes, a broken handle on our fire door with someone trying to break in and then today, a broken glass window pane. This is thousands of dollars in repair that come out of our budget to provide services to adults with disabilties.

We are hoping the community can come together to help us recover some of these costs. It is so challenging to continue to offer services and have to pay these costs. We so appreciate our community and how they come together.

A donation of any amount will help us. Thank you for taking the time to read this. We are grateful for our Northern Nevada home.
