Today, on Thanksgiving, our family experienced the unimaginable. We lost our new home to a fire.

As we pulled into our neighborhood, we saw thick plumes of smoke rising into the sky. With each turn toward our street, it became clearer that the place we had poured our dreams, our time, and our hearts into was becoming a memory before our eyes.

We are thankful that none of us were physically inside the home at the time.

But our animals were.

We lost our two beloved cats. Our two dogs, Tucker and Moxy, were rescued but are currently fighting for their lives in the ICU at the South Sherwood Animal Center. The doctors are doing everything they can, but they will need extensive, long-term care if they survive this. They have 2nd and 3rd degree burns covering over 20% of their bodies and their eyesight may never recover. The vet is estimating the cost of recover to be between $12,000-$18,000. We are praying with everything in us that they pull through.

In the midst of this heartbreak, we are trying our best to stay strong and rebuild both mentally and physically. If you are able to help in any way, whether through donations, sharing, or simply keeping our family and our pets in your thoughts and prayers, we would be deeply and eternally grateful. No amount is too small and every gesture means more than we can express.

The goal of $30,000 is simply a placeholder as we do not know how extensive all costs will be when making sure our dogs are okay, as well as, buying new clothing and necessities.
