This is the Beautiful Mia.
Mia was handed in to one of our vets after " supposedly" being found dumped , we suspect it was her owners that took her in saying they found her.
The smell was terrible, the bandage round her leg was filthy, she was sedated and the bandage removed and the wounds cleaned, as they were being cleaned the infection and dead flesh was just falling off :( Poor Mia must have been in such agony. Despite this she was very sweet and we think she knew we were trying to help her.
We are hoping we can save her leg, but its going to be a long journey. She is a VERY lucky girl as she wouldn't have survived much longer.
She is at the moment staying at Sunnyside Vets, as her dressing has to be changed several times a day, and she is of course on high levels of antibiotics and pain relief.
Mia is aroubnd 5 years old, and were hoping with expert care he leg can be saved, and she can have the rest of her life in a caring loving family.
Thanks to Silvergreen Vets for taking such care of her for the first day and night, and alerting us to her.
