Help us give Ollie the best chance
Hi there my names Caitlin. My partner Christian and I are fur parents to a 1yr old French bulldog x jack Russell named Ollie. We currently live in Wentworth falls, NSW
On Saturday the 12th of September our beautiful Ollie got into a bottle of Nurofen.
Upon our discovery of the nurofen tablets and half empty bottle we straight away assessed Ollie and rung a vet to see what we need to do.
30 minutes later he had thrown up 8 times so we decided to rush him straight down to Nepean animal hospital which is 35mins away from our house.
Upon arriving at the vet hospital Ollie was whisked straight out of our arms and into the clinic.
After speaking to the vet we were under the impression he would be out of the vet Monday the 14th of September.
On Monday we excitedly went to pick up our fur baby only to discover he has acute kidney failure with a level of 277.
this meant he would not be coming home anytime soon as this level was extortionately high.
Yesterday (15th of September) we were told his level was starting to drop and he could come home the next day.
unfortunately that was not the case. His level has gone back up and it looks likely he will need to be in the vet hospital for an unknown amount of time.
Nepean vet hospital has been nothing but amazing for our fur baby but at $580 a day we simply cannot afford to give him the care he needs.
We are hoping to raise anything to help us with the funds. Ollie is the love of our life and we would do anything to make sure we save his life.
Anything you can spare would make a huge difference to helping us give Ollie the care he needs.
thank you for any love and support you can give us xx
