Mia’s Ranch is proud to rescue this sweetie from ACS in Texas. Ollie (former Coco), is suffering from a condition called generalized demodicosis, caused by an overgrowth of microscopic skin mites
known as Demodex cati. This overgrowth leads towidespread inflammation, itching, skin damage, and secondary infections.
The necrotic (dead) tissue on Ollie’s left ear pinna is the result of long-standing inflammation, infection, and self-trauma.
This is unlikely to heal fully on its own.
In addition, Ollie has a mild anemia, which is likely related to chronic inflammation and his FIV+ status.
Right now, Ollie is in the hospital for a pinnectomy, which should help with his outlining condition and a biopsy will be performed to rule out cancer.
Our bill grew exponentially in the past days and we need your help. Whatever amount you can spare, will be greatly appreciated
