Help Us With My Brother's Memorial (Daniel Garetz)

Donation protected

UPDATE 2-5 @ 3:00 PM: We surpassed our goal and I have disabled all further donations. Any funds that are not used for Daniel will be donated to a charity of our choice.

Thank you so much to everyone who shared & donated, we appreciate all of the love & support.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date due to Covid regulations. All the information is on his obituary page (linked below):

UPDATE 1-29 @ 9:20 PM: Wow... over $7,000 in donations on the first day. This is absolutely amazing. I just want to take a second to thank each & every one of you from the bottom of my heart. All of the donations, the shares, comments, pictures, everything... it truly means the world to us. And I know Daniel is looking down on all of us right now with a big smile on his face. Thank you <3

It pains my heart to even write this...

But I recently found out that my brother Daniel passed away.

So I'm doing this GoFundMe as a way for friends, family, and the members of my online community to show your support and to help our family pay for Daniel's memorial service and any of his other final expenses.

I will personally make sure all of the donations go towards him and only him.

Thank you for your support.

P.S. Please take a few seconds to share this on your Facebook profile, it would mean the world to us.

Here are some additional pictures:

It wouldn't be right if I didn't post a picture of his hockey team here because it was a huge part of his life.

This picture is just from one of the many years he played hockey. I remember how upset I would get that I always had to go to his hockey games... I sure do wish I could go to one again though.

Here are two more pictures I love:

Me and Daniel on the left (I'm the one with the confused looking face if you couldn't tell)

And the picture on the right is special because in the second row of the log chute is my brother and uncle Johnny. I was very close to both of them and unfortunately they both left us way too soon.

Lastly, a picture of me, my dad, and brother at Olive Garden celebrating one of Daniel's birthdays. Thank you to the waiter/waitress who took this picture.

Thank you for sharing & donating. We truly appreciate it.
