Hi all. We are seeking financial help for moving and living expenses for the next month or two. We have been working in ministry in our current position for about 2 1/2 years but in recent months have been feeling the need to be closer to my elderly mom in another state. So Justin advised our current leadership a few months ago that we would begin looking for new work. He has been applying and interviewing and trying out at churches since late August, but we've not found a place yet. It is typically a process that takes a long time, for both churches and ministers. Our current church hired a replacement very quickly, however, and is anxious to let him start, so we've been advised that our employment here will end on November 30. While a new position may have provided coverage of moving expenses, we are not in that position and we are now in an unfortunate situation and in need of financial support. We will receive a paycheck on December 1 that will cover many of our December monthly bills but nothing else. We need help with the move, as well as cost of living expenses for the rest of December and possibly into January.

Our plan is to temporarily move to Lubbock Texas where we have friends we can stay with. Justin will hopefully be able to pick up some fill-in preaching spots, and I will start applying for jobs there immediately. So we're not exactly sure what our precise need will be.

The moving van estimate is about $4400. We are planning to sell our second vehicle, and if we can get a good amount for it, we may lower the total we are requesting here.

I've never done one of these before so I'm not exactly sure what other info you need.
