So, as some of you may know, about a month and a half before our wedding, Dominic got laid off from his full-time job. Since then, he has been trying to work odd jobs while applying for something full time. He’s had a handful of interviews, but nothing has come to fruition yet.
Shortly after our wedding on May 6th, it was determined by my doctor that my right kidney was not draining properly due to scarring/swelling after having a 7mm kidney stone in there for a year (I had surgery back in January to remove it).
So, my doctor scheduled a surgery for the following week. They went in on May 15th and dilated my kidney and placed a stent in for 6 weeks.
It was advised that I take the entire time to recover and let my body heal but unfortunately due to the timing of Dominic losing his job, time off for our wedding and waiting on disability approval for me - we are struggling with monthly bills. If we don’t figure out a way to pay rent, horse board and other miscellaneous bills at the beginning of June, I will be forced to go back to work before my body is ready in order to pay our bills.
We are not typically ones to ask for help, but due to the circumstances, I wanted to put it out there in case someone is in a position to be able to help us out so that I can comfortably recover from surgery.
We are hoping that Dominic will be able to find full-time work soon, and that I will be able to return to work as soon as possible.
As of right now, my pain and discomfort make it very hard to do much more than walk around our apartment as I tire easily and become extremely uncomfortable.
Going back to work before the stent is out definitely puts me at a higher risk of my kidney not fully recovering.
I also have about $6k in medical bills so really any amount will truly help us get back on track.
Anything helps, even just a share to those in your circles. We appreciate anything.
