I’m reaching out because my mom recently suffered a stroke that has left her partially immobilized and unable to work. Overnight, she went from being independent to needing round-the-clock care. I’ve stepped in as her primary caregiver while also working full-time, raising my 9-month-old baby, and attending school full-time. It’s a lot, but I’m doing everything I can to keep us all afloat. Unfortunately, her medical bills are piling up fast: hospital stays, rehabilitation, medications, and ongoing treatments. On top of that, she’s lost a significant amount of her income, adding even more financial strain.
