In early 2025, my father was diagnosed with liver cancer and we were told he had just one week to live. Hearing those words felt impossible to process. Without hesitation, I drove 24 hours to be by his side.

He was placed on hospice care immediately, and what we thought would be days turned into three precious months. I spent nearly every day with him, often from morning until night. In the middle of heartbreak, we found Time to talk, to reflect, to laugh, to cry, and to simply sit together. The bond we built during those months is something I will carry with me forever.

Since then, he had been in and out of the ER over the following months. On March 3nd, 2026, I recieved that call that no one wants to hear, he unfortunately passed away overnight. What we thought would be days left with him, turned into nearly a year of him fighting this cancer. For that extra time, I will always be deeply grateful.

As our family navigates this heartbreaking loss, I will be making another 24-hour trip to be with loved ones. This fundraiser is to help cover afterlife expenses, as well as the travel costs during this incredibly difficult time.
