Hello all,

We're going through an "extended period of continuous bad luck in life" right now and need your help. No obligation on anyone; however, anything would be more than greatly appreciated.

I'm currently out of work and looking for employment. To add to that stress, I'm dealing with substantial financial expenses due to storm damage done to our house earlier this month when several trees fell on it during a heavy wind and rain storm. Because of it, the roof and gutters need total replacing, along with damage to several household appliances, furnace and dehumidifier took a hit to the computerized control panels during the initial brownout and eventual power outage that lasted several days. Insurance damages only cover so much. And, if that weren't enough, hubby and I are also facing some health issues that need to be addressed sooner rather than later.

As the saying goes, "When it rains, it pours". That's an understatement at the moment and I'm having a difficult time imagining the "light at the end of the tunnel, let alone actually seeing it. I'm not even sure what kind of dollar value to begin to put on all of this; however, if anyone is reading this, I'm sure you can imagine how much these expenses run, in addition to trying to keep up with the daily and monthly living expenses that include mortgage, food, and utility bills..

If anyone is in any position to help us out, it would certainly be more than greatly appreciated. As I said before, you are certainly under no obligation to do so, and I have no expectations of what will come of this. I can't repay peoples' kindness and generosity monetarily; however, I can and will make a concerted effort to "pay it forward" wherever and whenever I can to those who have been in similar situations, or just down on their luck and need a helping hand, in general. We all need help from time to time and shouldn't feel guilty or ashamed to ask for it.
