Our 10-year-old son is currently living in a level 6 behavioral health treatment center in Savannah, Georgia, which is about six hours away from our home. He is receiving care for DMDD and ODD, and we do everything we can to support his progress. Each month, we make the long trip to visit him, attend family therapy sessions, and remind him that he is loved and not forgotten. These visits are crucial for his emotional well-being and for our family to stay connected during this challenging time.
As the sole financial provider for a family of eight, the costs of travel, lodging, rental cars, and food for these monthly visits add up quickly. While we are committed to being there for our son, the financial strain is becoming overwhelming. We want to continue supporting him in person throughout his treatment, but we need some help to make that possible.
Your support would mean the world to our family. Any donation, no matter the size, will help us offset the expenses of these trips and allow us to keep showing up for our son when he needs us most. Thank you for considering being part of our journey and helping us stay strong for our son.
