We are reaching out during one of the most difficult times our family has faced. My husband’s mom suffered a stroke in January, and her health has only declined since then. She now has pneumonia and has been in the hospital almost continuously since her stroke. The doctors have told us that she may not have much longer, and our greatest wish is to be by her side in Ohio to support her and say our goodbyes.

We live in Arizona, and making this trip is a challenge for us. I am currently 30 weeks pregnant with a high-risk pregnancy, which means I am unable to work and cannot fly. Because of this, we need to drive across the country, but the cost of travel is more than we can manage on a single income. We are faced with the heartbreaking choice between paying for our home or making the journey to see my husband’s mom one last time.

Anything you can give would help us get there in time. We are doing everything we can, but we simply can’t do it quickly enough on our own.
