Help Us Visit Dying Grandfather One Last Time
Donation protected
Hello
I’m reaching out regarding something deeply personal to ask for your support. My wife and I are having to leave the country rather unexpectedly, due to circumstances not in our control. As this is an unplanned transition, we are having to make difficult decisions about where to put our resources – and this leaves us with very little left over.
We had planned to visit her family, namely her terminally ill grandfather, later this spring. Now, with the change of plans, we will not have the funding to do so before we leave. The expense of travelling to them (across the country) was going to be a challenge to take on regardless, but the visit was important enough to us that we were going to make it happen. Her grandfather was, and is, a true father to her. Leaving without seeing him means never seeing him again, without a proper goodbye. My wife is utterly crushed that this has become our reality.
I, her husband, am still just a medical student. All I can do in this specific situation is humbly ask for help to make sure this visit can still happen. Any contributions will be used solely for travel expense. (The photo is from the city her grandfather lives in. Real small place on the west coast.)
Every little bit matters, and if you aren’t able to donate, please consider sharing this with others who may be able to support us. If you’ve read this far, I thank you for your time. Your kindness and positive thoughts mean a lot to us in this tumultuous time.
Thank you so much for your support.
Gratefully,
Henry
