When we broke ground on our latest home site, required soil samples didn’t reveal what lurked below... seven full-size trucking trailers' worth of buried construction debris. It wasn’t just garbage—it was nearly the undoing of an incredible housing opportunity.

Thanks to tireless effort and emergency action, U-CLT cleared the site and laid a deeper, secure foundation. Our modular home is set and undergoing site finishes. A deserving family is ready to move in—and the only thing standing between them and a fresh start... is a financial hole we need your help to fill.

The Unexpected Costs

We’re facing $65,000 in surprise expenses, including:

• Trucking away the buried debris

• Re-surveying and new inspections

• New architectural fees

• $35,000 for additional concrete to lower the foundation by three feet

• Adjusting heating plans for the expanded crawl space

Our operating budget took a direct hit. This unplanned expense threatens not just this project, but future homes we aim to build for Uniondale families.
