Harley, the valiant renaissance @smuggoharley dog that is part of the Ong Family, needs your help! Before Harley became our beloved family member, he was given away by 2 families, left on the street (found his way back to his original owner), and was soon headed for the pound. For the past decade, we have cherished him, loved him, and continue to give him many pats. He is a flirt, just as picky about his ladies as he is about his food. He is a physics dog and loves rolling balls down slopes. He has transformed from a traumatized dog into a loving family-member that always loves tummy rubs and watching sunsets. He would prop his head between our thighs and stare lovingly into our souls. Harley is known for giving hugs & will even slow dance on his 2 hind legs with you!!

Late last month, Harley avoided eating and his stomach began to twitch. Blood tests revealed continually rising kidney levels, possibly kidney disease, and calcium levels, a sign of cancer. The levels continued to rise and Harley's heart began to beat irregularly. Ultrasounds revealed spleen deformities that could be tumors.

After clearing several hurdles, Harley finally underwent spleen removal surgery. He had survived two spleen ruptures. Post-surgery, Harley's eyes were fully alert and he no longer showed spasms. However, his kidney levels were still high and his appetite was still very low.

The spleen biopsy diagnosed Harley with advanced lymphoma, a fast-spreading blood cancer. Still recovering from his recent spleen surgery, Harley is currently under the ELSPAR treatment. We are working on recovering his appetite until he is ready for chemotherapy, or similar alternatives. This has been a very unpredictable roller-coaster, and we hope you can help this very goodboi on his road to recovery.

Unfortunately due to Harley being in and out of the hospital multiple times, his hospital bills have accumulated and we could really use any help we could get.
