Encorps has entered into Drum Corps International (DCI) Open Class for 2019! After only 1 year as an exhibition drum corps, we have taken the next step in our growth, and we could not be more excited for the opportunity!
Now, we need YOUR help to get the show on the road as we gear up to participate in 5 DCI shows this summer around the Northeast!
Based in Central New Jersey, Encorps provides a world class marching arts experience to its members, ages 14 to 21 in the DCI activity. Our talented team of education professionals mentor each member's skill set through positive motivation and encouragement.
The parent company of Encorps, Jersey Arts & Music Inc. (JAM!), has launched this capital fundraising campaign to help support our rehearsal site and travel expenses. In order to enable as many members to march as possible, we keep our tuition fees very reasonable - and your fundraising efforts will help us continue to do so!
The mission of JAM! is to "enrich life skills through the performing arts." It is Encorps' goal to encourage our members to develop qualities such as leadership, dedication, responsibility, respect, perseverance, work ethic, and a commitment to a common goal. Drum Corps International inspires all of these qualities, and now Encorps is part of that great tradition.
It's a hard workout for our members in the hot summer sun. Each rehearsal, they are working their hardest and being challenged physically and mentally to put on an amazing show. Their payoff? Performing in front of thousands, in stadiums around the northeast. THAT is why they join us - for the love of working hard at a goal, perfecting it, and sharing that gift with others.
We hope that you will help us, with ANY donation you can. Each donor will receive a commemorative patch for our "2019 Debut DCI Season" as a symbol of our appreciation to you.
