Help Us Transform the Bahamas Humane Society Wall!
We’re on a mission to bring color, community, and compassion to the Bahamas Humane Society (BHS) — and we need your support!
The BHS wall is one of the first things visitors see when they arrive… and right now, it’s in need of some serious love (scroll down to see the “before” photos). We believe the shelter — and the animals it supports — deserve a space that’s as warm, welcoming, and inspiring as the work that happens inside.
That’s why we’ve partnered with incredible local artist Angelika Wallace Whitfield, a group of fellow Bahamian artists, and passionate community volunteers to design and paint a large-scale mural that will reflect the spirit of BHS and help draw more locals and visitors to support the shelter.

Why This Project Matters:
- The refreshed wall will help change perceptions of the shelter, making it feel more inviting and uplifting.
- It will bring visibility to BHS’s amazing work and encourage more people to adopt, donate, or volunteer.
- It’s a powerful opportunity to bring together local artists, students, and volunteers in a shared act of community service.
How You Can Help:
We’re raising funds to cover the cost of paint, primer, brushes, ladders, patching materials, and other supplies to make this mural a reality. Every dollar goes directly toward materials needed to complete the wall.
No donation is too small — every bit of support helps us brighten the space and shine a light on the animals who need us most.
