At Pamoja Na Watoto (Pawa Foundation), we are dedicated to empowering the children of Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), through education. Many children in this region face immense challenges, including poverty, conflict, and limited access to quality schooling all of which are exasperated by the ongoing conflict in the region. But with your help, we can make a difference in their lives.
Over the past few months, we have constructed a school inside the refugee camp in Goma for primary school students to receive an education.
Our mission is to raise $15,000 USD ($20,000 CAD) to support the education of internally displaced children, offering them a chance to rebuild their lives through learning.
Every dollar will directly support:
- School supplies and learning materials to give them the tools they need for success.
- Nutritious meals after class, ensuring they have the energy to focus on their education.
- Support for teachers and educational staff to create a safe, nurturing learning environment.
- Reusable pads for girls, empowering them to stay in school with dignity and confidence.
- Mental health support to help children cope with trauma and emotional challenges they face in the camps
