Hello Everyone, we are here hoping for help towards replacing our vehicle after a unfortunate accident. Early Monday morning, my mother was involved in a car accident on the 110 freeway. She was struck from behind by a drunk driver, that as far as we know, has no insurance. We have no information as of yet, because the report has not been completed and processed, according to CHP. This incident has left our vehicle heavily damaged. The car is totaled. This, however only makes matters very much harder for us. For the last 4 1/2 years, our family has been dealing with homelessness. While my mother has heavily encouraged me to stay with friends, and with my little sister being taken by her father, with him using our hardship against her instead of helping, she has had to continue pursuing to find permanent housing for us, while be on her own out there. Using her van as shelter. Now that the van is totaled and immobile, the car is now a lost cause. While we are already getting hassled about how we’re gonna take care of the towing fees, and actually get rid of the car, I worry about the fact that my mom now doesn’t have a place to lay her head at night. So, I’ve come here to see if anyone would be so kind as to contribute whatever they can to help us towards getting a replacement vehicle. She currently has no income as she deals with various medical issues that make her unable to work. We, here, are at the end of our rope. We’ve pursued every/all avenues to potentially help us with this issue, however, with no avail. I personally don’t know what more to try and do but this.
