Hi, my name is Freya and I’m setting this fund up to try and help save Ginger the street kitten. We found her in Kuala Lumpur on our first day, tiny, emaciated, seriously dehydrated and ill with herpesvirus. We gave her water and tried to get her to eat. We didn’t think she would survive so we took her to an animal shelter. When we arrived the shelter was full of small cages crammed with cats, with no room to move. We were told they weren’t let out and very rarely found adopters. We couldn’t leave her there. We took her back to our accommodation and tried to get her to eat and drink some more. We took her to an emergency vet who issued us with antibiotics and other medications to try and save her. We frantically contacted as many rescues and fosters as we could but most were full and couldn’t help us. We were resigned to the fact we would have to take her back to where we found her or to one of the inhumane shelters.

Eventually we did hear from one lady who runs a foster organisation who is full but looking for us. She told us it is possible for her to go to vet boarding until a foster is available as long as we pay.

We have decided that this cat has chosen us and we can’t abandon her now. We want to bring her home.

We’ve been in contact with pet relocation services here in KL so see if we can get her back to England. Unfortunately this is expensive and we need help raising some money for the cost of her treatments, vet boarding, vaccinations and transport.

I would never dream of asking for money for me, but this isn’t for me, it’s for Ginger. Please even if you just have £1 to give I can’t tell you how much it would be appreciated. She is a tiny survivor, she just needs some help. Thank you, love Freya and Ginger
