URGENT – PLEASE HELP ROCKY

Yesterday, we rescued a tiny, traumatised puppy hiding between rocks after being stabbed and having his tail brutally cut. He was in shock, terrified, and fighting for his life.

We rushed him immediately to Listriani Vetcare in Sanur, Bali, where Rocky underwent emergency surgery to amputate his damaged tail and repair the stab wound. The surgery was successful, but Rocky remains in critical condition and is under close veterinary care.

Once discharged, Rocky will need extensive rehabilitation to heal both physically and emotionally. In the coming 2–3 days, once he is stable enough, treatment will also begin for his severe skin conditions (demodex and fungal infection), which will require steroids and oral medication.

Medical costs so far:

• Emergency surgery: 5,500,000 IDR (approx. $550 AUD)

• Ongoing treatment and rehabilitation costs are expected to increase significantly

We cannot do this alone.

Urgent Update on Rocky 23rd Jan 2026

Rocky has been discharged from hospital and has begun his long, fragile journey toward recovery.

He is still very anxious and tired, but he is safe. Curled up with his teddy, he is slowly learning what it feels like to be protected and cared for. He is not yet ready for hugs, but he is watching, listening, and beginning to trust. For the first time in his short life, Rocky is surrounded by love—and he will never be hurt again.

His amputated tail and stab wound are healing well, and we are incredibly relieved to share that he has tested negative for the life-threatening Parvovirus and Distemper.

To everyone who has already donated: thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. We are incredibly grateful and truly overwhelmed by the compassion and generosity shown for this precious little boy. Your support has already saved his life and reminded us how powerful kindness can be.

However, Rocky’s recovery is far from over. He will require ongoing veterinary care, medication, follow-up appointments, and specialist treatments such as acupuncture once trust is established and he feels comfortable to be touched and held. These costs are significant and ongoing.
